Network Security
An assessment of your internal and external networks: what is exposed, how segments are separated, and how far an attacker could move from a single foothold. We review configurations and test what matters, then help you close the gaps.
When it's needed
Networks change one exception at a time, until the segmentation on the diagram no longer matches what is actually reachable.
- You have offices, on-premises systems or a hybrid environment
- Segmentation exists on paper but has never been tested
- After a merger, a new site or a major infrastructure change
What we assess
- External exposure
- Internet-facing hosts, services and remote access.
- Segmentation and internal paths
- How far an attacker could move from one compromised device.
- Firewall and network device configuration
- Rules, management access and hardening.
- Wireless networks
- Wi-Fi configuration, guest separation and access controls.
How we work
- 01
Discover
Map network ranges, devices and the paths between segments.
- 02
Validate
Review configurations and test reachability and exposure manually.
- 03
Prioritize
Rank findings by what they expose and how easily they could be used.
- 04
Reduce
Agree fixes with your network team and retest them.
What you get
- Validated findings, with fixes
- Each proven with evidence, and a configuration-level fix.
- A segmentation map
- What can actually reach what, compared with what should.
- Prioritized hardening actions
- For firewalls, network devices and wireless.
- One retest within 90 days
- We confirm each fix and update the report.
Common questions
Ask us something elseIs this different from a penetration test?
Penetration Testing focuses on exploiting weaknesses in applications and infrastructure. Network Security also reviews how your network is designed and configured, so it finds gaps that testing alone might miss. Many teams do both.
What do you need from us to get started?
To start, we usually need network ranges and a diagram, if one exists; read-only access to firewall and device configurations; a testing position on the internal network, remote or on site; and a contact on your network team during testing. We confirm the exact list during scoping.
Do you test on site?
Where it is needed, for example for Wi-Fi or segmented office networks. Much of the work can be done remotely from a testing position you provide.
